Spend little time here and you will know why it is called so. I fell in love with the city on the first day. Take a look at the best things you can do when you are in Sacramento.
Visit State Historic Park
The State Historic Park of Old Sacramento covers the whole area of the business district of 1850 and has turned out to be the National Historic Landmark. It had been developed at the start of Gold Rush. I found the historic building of Eagle Theatre in here. This is has seen fire and flood tragedy and yet it has been successful in raising streets. It attracts several visitors from all over the world who are interesting in checking out twenty-eight acres of the park.
Explore State Railroad Museum
This is a popular museum in Sacramento. About 500,000 people visit this museum every year to learn about the history of the railroad. There are 6 buildings which cover an area of 225,000 sq. feet. I came to learn that the restored locomotives and railroad was used all throughout the state. The primary aspect of the museum is the Railway Post Office. Here you will have an ideal experience of the past.
Check Out the Crocker Art Museum
This is also known as the E.B Crocker Art Gallery. This is one of the longest operating museums to be found in the western half of America. I found the largest collection of ceramics in the museum. You will also find works from Europe, Asia, and Africa. There is so much that you will be able to explore in here. The beautiful pieces are things to marvel at.
